A nutrient rich vermicompost for your yard or garden. Worm castings are a form of fertilizer produced from earthworms. Also known as vermicompost, worm castings are essentially worm poo and are rich in minerals, organic material, beneficial bacteria and microbes.
Use to enrich your soil in flower and vegetable gardens, around trees and shrubs or simply as a top dressing on an existing lawn, worm casting are a great way to naturally and organically improve your soil quality and a little goes a long way.
This compost can be used indoors or outdoors for:
Notes: Please do not plant in pure castings alone. Mix with other materials such as soil, peat, or sand. Since castings are alkaline, they may not be appropriate for all acid-loving plants.
For potted plants - mix ¼ castings with Perlite, peat moss, sand, and/or soil for potting plants. For plants already potted, sprinkle about ¼” castings on top of the soil around, but not touching, the plant’s base. Make sure excess water is allowed to drain from the pot when it is watered.
For new seeds and transplants - castings may be used similar to blood meal when planting seeds and transplants. For seeds, make a row for planting, sprinkle castings along the prepared soil and plant.
